Yesterday was a big day. Oct 13 1997 was my start date at Wood & Conn! Yesterday was my 25 year anniversary.
I was hired by Dave Wood, rescued from my insolvent car dealership. I am eternally grateful to my late friend and mentor Dave for taking a chance on me.
Many things have changed since that day.
1. The entire staff here has turned over (except me).
2. We upgraded from pay phones and faxes to cell phones (huge)
3. email (more huge)
4. VOIP office phones!
5. We have added a few product lines since then, some successful…some not!
6. We went from zero semi trucks to THREE trucks and SIX trailers.
7. Just last year we added an additional heated warehouse.
8. Life. Jennifer and I have raised three children. Two have left the nest, the third still in college. Time marches on.
But many things are the same:
We proudly represent Sukup Manufacturing and Hutchinson-Mayrath products. Those companies are part of our corporate and personal identity.
We still take care of our dealers thru meaningful relationships.
Those things are not changed, and never will.
