Our building expansion is really going well. We are adding 5000 square feet to our warehouse by making the existing building 50 feet longer. We have purchased the building materials from Sukup Manufacturing, and they have done an excellent job of matching the dimensions of the “old” structure. Even the color is a good match!
Vick Construction is finishing up the interior steel lining. That should be done by sometime next week. The next few items will be electrical, overhead door, and concrete floor. When you come to see us please take a look at the progress. It is truly an impressive space.
The space in this addition will make our business more efficient. We will be able to move some unused pallet racks from the “shop” area into the current warehouse space. That alone will allow many crates and boxes to actually be PUT AWAY on pallets rather than plugging up the floor space. We plan to utilize the “new” space for parking trucks, forklifts, and storing bulky items not suitable for pallet racks (like centrifugal fans, grain pump boots, etc.).
